Welcome! If you are here then you are like me. You love football. You are a die-hard fan of your respective AFC West team. You thoroughly enjoy talking about football with others who share a similar passion.
If you are also like me, then you have grown completely weary from the childish back and forth immature verbal excrement found on the ESPN Blog, NFL.com or Yahoo! Sports boards.
Well, I created this little blog for us. This is where we can all respectfully converse, debate and YES, talk a little smack about the teams we root for and root against.
I believe in democracy. I believe in capitalism. I believe in free speech. But I also believe in being responsible and not acting like a complete dooshbag. You are free to let your voice be heard here. Everyone is welcome to join the debate. All I require is for you to follow a few simple rules:
1. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS. Be respectful. You can tell somebody they are wrong. But back up your reasons with valid, well-thought out points. Please don't resort to using childish name-calling tactics. It makes you look like a doosh.
2. NO POLITICS UNLESS IT PERTAINS TO THE NFL. Politics are a hotbed for dooshbag activity. There are political boards out there... go to them if you want to discuss your political points of view. Thank you.
3. NO RELIGION UNLESS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAINTS OR FIGHTING IRISH. I have no problem with people's faith. Personally, I believe in God. But this is an NFL blog... not a God blog. There are plenty of those around for you Bible-thumpers as well. Thank you.
All I ask is that you respect these guidelines. By posting your comments you are agreeing to abide by them. If you cross the line and violate these simple requests you will get banned.
This blog is yours. Not mine. I just set it up and appointed myself as the uber-moderator to police against the dooshbags.
BTW, my real name is Nick (a.k.a. dinoartist). I'm a Charger fan. Been so for all my life. I know my team... I know more about the Chargers than most Charger fans. I'm a realist and I try to keep things in focus. You don't need to tell me the Chargers are a team without a Super Bowl. Don't you think I already know that??? LOL

ReplyDeleteHey guys. Look forward to talking with some of you. I've been a Chiefs fan for going on 35 years now. I'll be up at the camp Aug 6TH and 7TH. I will let you know what I observe and what weaknesses or strengths I see. To be honest I'm more anxious to see McCluster in action. Reports have been this kid is a beast. and thanks Nick for setting this up. It's refreshing to have a place for fans to talk and or disagree without all the drama. I'm all about healthy debate.

ReplyDeleteOK let me explain the IGN...I was so mad because every one I picked out was already taken. So I was riding in the passenger seat of my girlfriends car and being the smart ass that I am I decided that the very first thing I seen when I looked up and out the window I would make my IGN. I looked up and what did I see? I freaking pot bellied pig riding in the back of this truck and snot was blowing out it's nose. Well the rest is history. Can't say I'm not a man of my word even though the name made me cringe.

I have been reading your ESPN blog posts and enjoy your comments and respect your viewpoints. I live in Florida (Melbourne), a life-long Packers fan but have been following the Broncos and Chargers (retired Navy 22 years) as well. I look forward to providing input and reading great input.

hey brothers ! wtg dino and chief ! been raider fan since 1974 . i know some things but dont know everthing ! it was resantly brought to my attn that my posts were getting away from football and becoming personal so i almost stopped blogging (again ) altogether . thanks for the invite away from all the knuckleheads as i dont want to catch there disease (i can be just as thughtless and callous)! but enough of the mushy im a ok guy crap ! papadunks in !

ReplyDeleteNice to meet you guys and girls. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and getting to know more about your teams. Knoweledge is a good thing. News is pretty slow right now but soon we will be busy. I'll be posting some pics of the Chiefs at camp and I'll report honestly on what I observe. There will be some pics of training and some of us just being silly. Hopefully some others will be on here and do the same if they can. I'll have those posted around the 8TH of August. Look forward to the season and good luck to everyone.

So a little about me: My name is Ben and I've been a Chiefs fan all my life (longer if you ask my dad or granddad). I'll talk football at any level with anybody but to me it doesn't get any better than the AFC West rivalries. I'll even take a few shots at the Seahawks on occasion. I tend to get a little set in my ways, but if you think I've missed a stat, produced wrong information, or am just talking out my ass, don't hesitate to let me know. I love a good argument, and I'll get into it with you. But in the end I will always respect whoever it is I'm talking with (well, maybe one exception). Look forward to going at it with you guys.

Hey Ben, welcome. Glad you could join the fray. Respect for your rival is forgotten among fans, most of the time. The players on the field have nothing but the utmost respect for their opponents. One of the most greatest examples: Farve v. Sapp. So why can't the fans of rival teams appreciate one another in a similar way? That's what I'm hoping we will see 'round here...
ReplyDeleteHey I don't see to much action on here for the Denver broncos so I figured I would kick that off. I understand Josh mcdaniels wants to establish his own team and he's basically clearing all the guys from the shanahan but I'm wondering if not only is he making a huge mistake getting rid of some of his most productive people but also doing it way to fast. To get rid of 3 of your top offensive weapons before you have people to step in and take that over plus I think they've kind of set the the tone for next year and dumerville being gone. I'm just wondering if the broncos haven't done more to hurt themselves than help themselves this offseason.

ReplyDeleteHello my fellow AFC West fans. Some of you will recognize me from the ESPN blog (ryry524). I'm a lifelong Broncos fan. Born in CO and now live in San Diego surrounded by friends who are Chargers fans. My first memory of the Broncos is hearing my dad talk about Elway being drafted and how he's going to bring a ring to Denver someday. My first memory of actually becoming a Broncos fan and more importantly an NFL fan is a few years later when my dad took me to my first game at Mile High. I have a vivid memory of how loud the crowd was and how the stadium shook back and forth. Can't wait for the season to start. Go Broncos!!
