RAIDER ROOKIES .
the afc westlooks to have had a solid draft all together from oakland not chasing fast feet or big arms til the fourth round ( its about time big al !!) , to coach mcd out in denver putting most of his eggs in the tebow baskett( i myself have high hopes for tebow but i dont think it had to be at such a high price ??) . to k.c . mcluster and berry look to contribute on the now . and the afc west team to beat the bolts drafting mathews in the first to up there yards per carry , its life after hof l.t and i think mathews fits the bill here and helps this offence right away ! but back to the beloved silver and black ! first round r. mcclain the word on him is he already is gaining the locker rooms respect . you know that guy davis drafts every so often that you just want to say al you done good , this is the guy ! in the second oaktown stayed true too needs and went d-line with l. houston. guy looked big and strong in college , i hope this carries over to the nfl as we need to close the open door for backs , witch has been called the d-line! in the third the raiders were gifted with tha avalability of e. veldheer . as all rooks needs polishing but more than likely will protect j. cambells blind side , effective immediately ! although only played 18 games ( correct me if im wrong ) i beleive our first pick at for b. campbell will bring the BOOM STICK ( a guy named bruce campbell all he has to do now is earn the nickname ash for the way he dusts the d-line !) at gaurd right away and eventauly have the oppertunity to move to rt . and now our second pick in thefourth als speed fix j .ford wr - kr - pr . this guy can turn on the jet !! next in the fifth at cb w mcfadden we may have found our bookend for namdi here ! in the sixth at ilb t gothel and at seventh db j ware at this time i have nothing to report an either . i will research both . bleedsilverandblack and dinoartist turned me onto youtube for player tape but im sure most of you already have that knowledge . seven years , thats how long the raidernation has endured ! but now with a solid draft , a few key pickups a pulse has been found !! ha man like ive said over on espn...walter mcfadden i feel will be the annual raider late round gem...should be a solid nickel/dime back this year then i look to see him take over for chris johnson in 2011...studying under nnamdi can only help
ReplyDeleteand i looked at that youtube feed again and the onlt thing they had on j. ware was this one hudge hit he put on this guy . he hits like that we may have found a safety in the making . but we will see ! mcfadden may be anouther great pick ! as you have heard me blog this could be one of our best drafts in a long time !five of our picks could turn out fast ! mcclain , houston , veldheer , campbell (ash) , and mcfadden will all probably start in some capacity rite away !
ReplyDeletei actually like the move of campbell to g. he is a little inexperienced to play LT but he is a very large person and very strong. i think he can be an extremely dominant guard in his first few seasons. jeeeeeeeez i cant wait for that opening game @ tenn!

ReplyDeleteJedunk, The more I see from Rolando the more I like him. Being from Alabama and the way he carries himself on the field reminds me Of D.T. I know he has a long way to go to be compared to Thomas but that's who he reminds me of. If he can put in half the work DT did then you got yourself a keeper. I think the Chiefs and Raiders are the most improved teams. I still think the Chargers have the edge for this year but 2011 is going to be real interesting.

ReplyDeletechief i hate saying so and so looke like so and so , however mclain s work ethic reminds me of the workmen lb in the nfl . far be it from too mix it up (lol ) but this season the way im predicting it looks to be a 9-7 , 8-8 , 7-9 or 8-8- , 8-8 , 7-9 between sd , kc , and oak . (sorry den just think of all the afc west your it ! given time i do think and here it is , tebow is going to be the man in denver ) . my point i think one of us has a shot for division or wild card ! i will let you guess my pick ! so i do agree to go farther i beleive by the end of the season the nfl will recognise kc and oakland as most improved ! hold on all the predicting , i need a shot of coffee ! ok to end my four fantasy sleepers are m. bush , j. charles , chambers , and murphy ! bleed i had too laygh again ! tebow lol !
ReplyDeleteHey guys one thing I think you guys should also look at is Lamar Houston not only is this guy gonna be a steal from the 2nd round he had better stats across the board than Gerald McCoy and they played in the same conference this is definatly looking to be an outstanding rookie class for us
ReplyDeletehouston is going to be a beast and was definately hhidden in the shadow of mccoy! over on the bush line i commented that this was a very organized draft and i wouldnt be surprized if all our picks make the roster on some capacity . back too houston , i see not just a run stuffer but a guy thar can get to and in the qbs face !
ReplyDeleteHey something else that I've been looking at for a little while and want to know what you guys think. I know that Seymour is a great player but I was upset about the production that we got out of him last year and I haven't been happy that we haven't been able to get this deal done with him because it just feels like one more very good player that we've brought in and just wanted to get a good deal for a few years and then get out but what really excites me in matt shaugnessy this guy played about a third of the time and had the same production as greg ellis and I think he is a star on the rise. I do think Seymour will be better this year just because I think our D-line as a whole will be solid but I think after even just one more year underneath Seymour and rotating in to keep the line fresh a little more this year if we do end up losing Seymour or his production isn't great I won't feel to bad replacing him with Houston and Shaugnessy as our ends of the future. What do you guys think.
ReplyDeletei think if we are going to see any elite type of production with seymor it will be this season , based on the draft of houston and the production of the other players you named autumnwind ! i beleive we sighned a free agent from the jags ( correct me if im wrong here ?)to add depth to our d-line . seymore is also playng for a contract as well.i think this d-line will get too the qb and show improvement aginst the run as well ! as far as giving up a first to get him , way tooooooo much and next season no matter what he does he is going to have to adjust his thinking on his worth in the nfl based on his age alone !
