Friday Fun: Stolen Chargers-Raiders Truck Found

Now here's something you don't see everyday.

Yes, it's a truck that is painted half Raiders and half Chargers. If you are like me then you're initial thought is: WTF?

Well, this is actually a feel good story. I know it may be off topic and that it's not as relevant to our humble blog as signing draft picks or restricted free agents. But I think it is still interesting.

Earlier this week this unique vehicle was stolen from its owners, Emily and Angel Cuadra, in National City. Yesterday the vehicle was spotted in Spring Valley (like it's not that hard to notice this truck from all the rest...) and returned to Emily and Angel.

Emily, the wife, is a Charger fan.

Angel, the husband, is a Raider fan.

They've been married 15 years.

Wow.

Personally, I don't know if I could be married to someone who is a Raiders' fan unless she looked like Kate Beckinsale or Jessica Biel. But props to these two... I can only imagine what their house is like on the two dates each season when the Raiders and Chargers tango.

If you want to read a little more about the story, check it out here: http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/sports/Stolen-Chargers-Raiders-Truck-Found-99069279.html

  1. I wonder who their kids are rooting for. Probably the Chargers though since they live in SD. But I can see the dad forcing the raiders on them also haha. But man I'm checking out this one girl that just moved down from denver haha. Die hard broncos fan. I wonder how our conversations are gonna be like once football season starts.

  4. bleed made a funny over him where he put all of his favorite teams together and ended it with tebow ! something like raiderlakeratheleticsduckstewbow ! it was funnier when it happened but twoname wouldnt respond too him !! im from a family who is most raider , however there is a sprikling of nfc and afc west teams also . but even though we may appreciate other teams we are loyal to one per sport !

  5. Jefffree... I'm not that smooth with the ladies... it's a wonder I even got married... But my advice would be to really hype up the rivalry with the Bronco gal. Don't be soft with the smack. Come full force... it'll be like foreplay. You'll get her all worked up and the next thing you know you'll be making her breakfast the next morning... Or at least that's how I see it going down. ;-)

  8. Jedunk... LOL Dude, I'm doing that for the rest of the night! From now on, every sentence I type will end with, Tebow. My wife is from Denver too, Tebow. And she was a half-hearted Broncos fan when I met her, Tebow. But the only player she could name was Elway, Tebow. Now, after several years of exposure to the Chargers she is a Bolts fan, Tebow.

  10. dinoartist... I've learned in the past that you don't need to be a ladies man to get that one woman. I like your plan though but it'd be a whole lot better if it was her making breakfast, unless she wants cereal haha. And JEDUNK3, if you really think about it football is just entertainment and should not affect your life. But I must admit I do get worked up on it every now and then and takes me awhile to come back to normal haha.

  11. Cereal would still be a good thing, Jeff! That means you sealed the deal! If the smack talk doesn't work then maybe a casual lunch will suffice... HAHAHAHAHA!

  14. That is pretty cool.

@bleed_silverandblack - My roommate is a huge 49ers fan too. Whenever he is in a pissed at me, he always just says "55-10..." I of course hang my head in shame and realize there is not comeback for that being a Bronco fan.
